Introduction

The following pages contain a brief evaluation of key elements of your birth chart, although it is by no means complete. Astrology can reveal many things about a person's life and personality, and you could study your chart for a lifetime without knowing the answers to all of your questions. The descriptions that follow will give you a "thumbnail" introduction to yourself through astrology.

In interpreting your chart, this report considers the sign of the planets and the north node in your chart, as well as their house placements. It also describes the sign of the Ascendant and the strongest aspects between the planets.

You may note that some of the following descriptions appear to contradict each other--and indeed we are all walking bundles of contradiction. If you examine yourself carefully, you will probably realize that you do in fact possess the qualities of both conflicting descriptions. Even though some parts of the reading may seem to clash, you will see that certain themes are repeated throughout the following pages. These are the ones that will become major issues in your life.

The readings stress that you are the ultimate decider of your fate. The stars may indicate the hand you were dealt at birth, but it is up to you to play that hand well enough to achieve your goals. Also, bear in mind that every "bad" aspect of a chart also has a "good" side. How it is expressed is really up to you. We tend to work at expressing ourselves more positively most of the time and only lapse into the negative behavior described when depressed, angry or scared. Or it is possible that some aspects may better describe your personality or behavior earlier in life. They may seem alien now because you have already worked through them.

A "Strength" number precedes each aspect description; this number takes into account how exact the aspect is, whether the aspect is a major or minor one, and whether an aspecting planet is close to one of the four chart angles. The higher the Strength, the more you are likely to feel the aspect and to act it out in your life.

Sun in Leo

The catch word for Leo is "ego." This sign is well known for its self-confidence, pride, creativity and ability to lead. Just be careful that this combination does not add up to a domineering personality. Remember that others also need a chance to shine. Share the center of the stage with others and it will be much more enjoyable for you as well.

Leo can be a warm, loving and charming kitten but can turn into a ferocious lion when threatened, angered or hurt. They are extremely loyal and generous with their friends and love partners and can be very affectionate. This can be considered good or bad, depending on the partner. Sometimes Leo needs to remember that they can give out too much love and affection. Some people are not prepared to receive love as freely as Leo. Allow your friends and lovers to express their love for you in their own way, even if it is not so lavish as you would like it to be.

Leos carry themselves with dignity and convey an air of regality. They don't like to have their ability or authority questioned. As a matter of fact, the best way to tame the lion is to flatter him or her. Vanity is Leo's one weak spot, and the lion can become downright arrogant. Physically, Leos are prone to sudden accidents, high fevers and chronic diseases. Particular areas of weakness are: the heart, back, shoulders, legs, ankles, throat and reproductive organs.

In relationships, you need to be given freedom to be who you are. Anyone who cannot understand this about you will most likely lose you as a friend or love partner. Just remember, you must also grant the same freedom to others.

Moon in Scorpio

Your emotions are very intense, and you often fluctuate between extremes--love and hate, sadness and happiness, etc. It is difficult for you to totally understand your own emotional make-up because of its depth and complexity. As a matter of fact, those friends, lovers and family members who are closest to you probably know you better than you know yourself.

In your relationships with others you can be very possessive and jealous, and you can become very cruel and vindictive if you are hurt. You never forget a wrong that someone has done to you, and you will plot and plan--for years or decades, if necessary--to seek your revenge. You often carry many such memories from childhood, and your entire life can be devoted to avenging the scars on your psyche from the many wounds you suffered during your early years.

Although you are intensely emotional, you project a perfectly cool exterior at all times. It is difficult, though not impossible, for you to undergo emotional growth with Moon in Scorpio. The strength of your emotions is too overwhelming to you, so that you are afraid to face the intensity within you. So you live a life of secrecy and mystery, which makes it hard to establish many meaningful relationships.

People with this Moon placement often achieve success in life, but often success brings more problems than failure. The issue of power over others (or others' power over you) is a strong one in your life, and it is probably rooted in your relationship with your mother. Although you may realize your dreams in this lifetime, you will also lose everything unless you learn the proper use of power. Do not use others to achieve your own selfish ends. If you do, you will live to regret it.

In your personal life, you have an ability to see through others' pretenses and find the truth underneath. Just be sure your lover is looking for the same intensity that you are; some people may find it too much to handle.

Mercury in Leo

You are very self-confident about your mental abilities, and you are an articulate and convincing speaker. You are highly creative and have your own distinctive style of expression. Since not everyone is as talented or confident as you are, you need to allow them to express themselves in their own way. One challenge of Mercury in Leo is to develop patience with others who seem slow or uncreative.

Although you are happiest when others are admiring and praising you, at times it is best to learn a little humility. Otherwise, you will encounter disturbing surprises in your interactions with others which will "shock" you and force your attention away from yourself. With Mercury in Leo there is a tendency to be arrogant and demanding. Venus in Cancer

Although you may be shy and quiet, you have considerable charm. You treat loved ones with sympathy and tenderness, providing the emotional nurturing that they need. It is important that you have the love and devotion of your friends and family. This provides you with a wonderful sense of inner security. Just be careful that you do not let others take advantage of your generosity. There will always be those who will try.

Mars in Virgo

In your career you are an energetic worker. Although you are ambitious, you find it hard to handle positions of high responsibility. Neptune in Sagittarius

Pluto in Libra

North Node in Capricorn

Chiron in Aries

Chiron represents the deep wounds we've all suffered in life which seem nearly impossible to heal. Moon square Mercury (Strength: 05.58)

Moon trine Venus (Strength: 05.48)

You are an eternal optimist about human nature and are hopeful about having fulfilling relationships. You are very trusting of others and believe that your trust will not be violated. Because your motives in dealing with others are usually quite honorable, others open up to you and enjoy your company.

With this aspect in your natal chart, you are probably attractive (especially with the tighter aspects). This may not be merely a physical beauty--in your case beauty truly is as beauty does. Others are drawn to your gentle disposition and creative nature. They find your optimism contagious and feel inspired by you.

You would do well in any career which involves dealing with people on a regular basis, such as public relations. You have a way of injecting energy into a group just when others are feeling discouraged. Because you refuse to adopt a negative attitude about life, others are forced to be more optimistic in your presence.

Although you have good judgment, you never try to force others to accept your opinion. You are polite and gracious and avoid vulgarity and coarseness. You demand honesty and sincerity from those closest to you and are willing to give the same. You enjoy children and will derive much joy from being a parent. Young people are attracted to you by your easy-going, sincere nature.

You are somewhat private about your personal life and don't try to pry into the affairs of others. Yet you will always offer a shoulder to a friend if asked.

Jupiter square Pluto (Strength: 04.16)

This aspect indicates that you are likely to rebel against existing traditions and values and you tend to fly in the face of authority. You expect to receive a large return on a very small investment of energy, and you often complain that your burden in life is too heavy. In truth, you are unwilling to accept full responsibility for your life. You should be careful how you invest your resources; you could suffer disappointment in this area. Mars trine Jupiter (Strength: 04.15)

This aspect indicates a harmony between your intellect and your physical strength, and you will most likely have little difficulty achieving your goals in life. It may appear to others that you are lucky, but you are also good at applying your talents to attain the desired results. You have a natural ability to be in the right place to grab new opportunities or to initiate a well-timed project. You are often successful in competition but sometimes may not even enter the contest because it doesn't seem worth it to you.

You can be a bit careless about spending money, however, and this is probably because you are so eternally optimistic that there will always be plenty around. Mars square Neptune (Strength: 03.99)

Your attempts to assert yourself often result in turmoil for you and/or for others. Therefore, you swing from one extreme to the other--asserting your needs powerfully at times and at others slipping into a state of total apathy.

It would be best if you could be self-employed or at least manage to work alone in your occupation. Because of your need to serve others, you would do well in the field of medicine and healing or social services. This way you can assert yourself and serve others at the same time. Also, if you work alone you will have no one but yourself to blame when things go wrong, which may be difficult for you since you tend to point fingers at others.

You lead a somewhat sexually repressed life although your sexual needs are significant. You suffer from anxieties regarding your sexuality (probably carried over from parental conditioning around sex) and therefore find it difficult to find satisfaction in this area.

Also, you may be attracted to persons who are unavailable, perhaps because they are already married. And then you languish in guilt over fulfilling your desires with someone who does not belong to you. Sometimes you find it more convenient to see your lover as you wish them to be rather than as they really are. You tend to lower your standards when choosing a lover and end up with someone who is interested in you primarily for sex. You may feel bitter when you are disappointed in love, but you really have only yourself to blame for setting it up that way.

You can be accident-prone at times, and you should avoid occupations which require the use of heavy machinery and other mechanical devices. You are also more subject than most to infections and disease, so you should be very careful with your health. Watch your diet and hygienic practices.

Saturn trine Uranus (Strength: 02.89)

This aspect indicates that you have the ability to learn from experience and to develop self-discipline. Curiosity over your future excites you, and you always look forward to what tomorrow may bring. Although you appreciate material possessions, you tend to gravitate away from them and to appreciate intangibles all the more. You have earned this freedom and peace of mind; as you mature you are able to share it with others.

You are very good with young people because you can be an authority figure and a friend at the same time. They respect your accomplishments--inner and outer--and aspire to be like you. Neptune sextile Pluto (Strength: 01.98)

This is the only aspect Neptune has made to Pluto during this century, and the planets will remain in sextile to each other for another hundred years, although the signs the planets occupy will continue to change as time passes.

For those born between 1942 and 1956, Neptune was in Libra and Pluto in Leo. These people were born at a time of global war. Governments rose and fell; kings were ousted from their castles. There were breakthroughs in air power (Neptune in Libra) which helped establish the balance of power between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. This time was filled with meetings and peace conferences between global leaders. Those born during this time know that compromise is not enough to achieve peace; you are naturally suspicious of your leaders, and this will help to promote greater honesty and accountability on the part of political figures.

If you were born between 1957 and 1970, Neptune was in Scorpio and Pluto in Virgo. There were new advances in health and medicine, as well as rapid spread of illegal drugs. Our long- held conservative attitude about sex began to dissolve, and we began to realize that marriage was not essential to maintain a committed relationship. Those born during this time seek to serve and improve society. You are also angry about the current state of our environment and natural resources.

If you were born between 1971 and 1983, Neptune was in Sagittarius and Pluto in Libra. Your attitudes about religion, education and human interactions are most likely different from those of your parents. Your religious beliefs, or spiritual practices, are important to you, and you are deeply concerned for the fate of your planet and the race of man. You will insist that your leaders be straight with you and will not accept excuses or manipulation. You are also interested in occult sciences, and many advances in this area will be made by members of your generation.

If you were born between 1984 and 1998, Neptune was in Capricorn and Pluto in Scorpio. You are part of a generation which will make great progress in dealing with power responsibly, both in terms of interpersonal relationships and as protectors of our Mother Earth. You will seek to transform society and replace rampant injustice with compassionate guidance.

Sun trine Jupiter (Strength: 01.39)

You are a very generous person--toward yourself as well as others. Your optimism and self-confidence inspire others, and they find you a comfort to be around. Therefore, others often come to you with their problems in order to be reassured by your positive attitude. Children are especially drawn to you.

You are blessed with the gift of creativity, but you must provide the impetus to use it constructively. This aspect can give you an erroneous feeling that everything will be fine, even if you don't take any action to make it so. For this reason, you may have a somewhat lazy attitude toward life--unless other aspects in your chart provide the needed motivation to put your creative ideas into action.

Sun sextile Saturn (Strength: 00.56)

Abundant Fire

You are an active, future-oriented person who is not weighed down by past commitments. You take advantage of new opportunities better than most. Life for you can be a vibrant affair in which you passionately pursue causes, lovers, and experiences. You have the self-confidence to be a leader. Competitive and flamboyant, you have little patience for slow people or unexciting work. When an activity interests you, you can be very generous with your time, energy, and money. Watch out for a tendency to exaggerate or to be insensitive to others' feelings. More cautious types may envy and resent your free spirit and competitive nature. Lack of Earth

You may be so focused on the "bigger picture" that you have difficulty managing the many details of life. Balancing your checkbook or leaving your bedroom clean may seem beyond your abilities. Other tasks may be important, but you find it hard to concentrate long enough to complete them. Knowing your own lack of concentration and self-discipline, you may cling to established routines because you know that you are able to do important things through force of habit. If you do not flit from job to job, you could hold onto a job or a relationship for too long because you do not trust that you will be secure without it. Your lack of real world perspective may make it hard for you to distinguish that which really matters from that which is unimportant, so that you sometimes focus on small things while leaving the really big things undone. You may say that you care about money, but unless you have abundant planets in the houses of Substance, you will not execute a detailed plan to get it. A lack of planets in Earth signs can be offset by an Earth sign ascendant or by abundant planets in the houses of Substance.

Abundant Fixed

With an abundance of planets in Fixed signs, you have the staying power to complete a project, grow a family, or expand a business. Your strength is what friends notice most about you. You have definite values; you focus your affections on the people and things that are part of your team. Friendships formed over time are important to you. You may be found at the center of a circle of friends, a large family, a government agency, or a business. You understand the contribution that stability and security make to prosperity and growth. It throws you off-balance when friends are not as reliable as you are or when love and ideals are not part of your life. Concentrate on developing confidence in yourself, a wholesome world for your family or group, and binding others to you with love. If you have a weakness, it is trouble changing or listening when people tell you a better way to do things. You can handle this weakness by empowering your team, as among them will be individuals who are good at reacting to a constantly changing world.
